Summer Friendship Gathering
Summer Friendship Gathering (SFG) is a three-evening event for adults with intellectual disabilities and their care givers. Congregational volunteers will sponsor the third annual event July 30 through August 1 at our Carmel site. The primary purpose of this outreach event is to provide spiritual enrichment and fellowship for our friends with mental and physical disabilities.
The theme for this year is “In His Steps—Fix Your Eyes on Jesus”. Each evening will begin at 6 pm with a dinner prepared and served by a CLC small group. Activities include Bible stories, prayer, crafts, singing, discussion groups, and a homily on the last night. The evenings end at 8 pm. Adults and youth are encouraged to volunteer as friends of our guests with disabilities.
Connection Ministries serves as oversight for this event, as well as nine other SFG events in Central Indiana.
