Music

"Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise. No greater commendation than this can be found — at least not by us. After all, the gift of language combined with the gift of song was only given to man to let him know that he should praise God with both word and music, namely, by proclaiming [the Word of God] through music." ~ Martin Luther

"A Musical Journey Through the Church Year"

CLC Fishers organist and director of instruments, Dan Calabrese, has put together a video of solo piano medleys of familiar hymns. The two-hour special takes you on a musical journey through the church year, highlighting most of the major seasons and festivals. Dan has creating a medley for each season using hymns from our hymnal, Lutheran Service Book. The church year begins with Advent and concludes with Christ the King Sunday. Enjoy the video!
